Rhythm is the interconnected movement of all life.

As the thirteenth work in his choreographic series, "14" explores the theme of rhythm and variation. How can we challenge the body's new context? This time, he broke away from his previous repetitive and cyclic creation method, using constantly changing movement textures to explore the spatial-temporal possibilities between stillness and motion.

The music for this piece boldly employs a minimalist equal temperament, using the progression of clock time to correspond with the intricate dynamics of bodily changes in the dance. Through a minimalist audio-visual relationship, Tao's circular movement system is extended to its linguistic extreme.

The cutting and folding of points, lines, and planes in space, the agitation and swaying when the body's center of gravity is imbalanced, all return the work to pure physical movement. All possibilities will unfold on the path of myriad phenomena within the rhythm of change and constancy.
