As the second piece of the 'Linear Trilogy', '7' represents Tao Ye's exploration and refinement of 'sound and form' breathing techniques.
In his view, both the intangibility of sound and the tangibility of the body share commonalities in their forms. To perfectly integrate visual and auditory senses, during his focused exploration of physical practice, Tao Ye boldly removed the conventional 'music accompaniment' from dance. By allowing dancers to release authentic live vocal sounds, like moving auditory elements, he creates infinite connections between sound and form in motion, inhalation and exhalation, internal and external, substantial and ethereal.
