"6" is the first creation in choreographer Tao Ye's "Linear Trilogy," which continues his exploration of the body's "simplification and purification" and "infinity" from his "Numerical Series."

In "6," the spine is returned to its core position as the body's "axis," studying the twisting and opening/closing of the spine to expand the multi-dimensional layers of movement space. Through the movement of the spine, each process extends from the inside to the outside, reaching the tips. By eliminating conventional dance movements and gestures, the work refines the overall significance of the body as a trunk movement from beginning to end, thereby creating a new body language context. The lighting design for the work was created by Swedish visual artist Ellen Ruge. Born in Northern Europe, she endowed the work with flowing and intersecting light throughout the performance, creating a dynamic and fantastical realm between light and shadow.
