In 2019, TAO Dance Theater and Cloud Gate Dance Theatre exchanged choreographers to co-create the program Exchange. Tao Ye created the piece <12> for Cloud Gate dancers, while Cloud Gate's Artistic Director Cheng Tsung-lung created Multiplication for Tao Dance Theater dancers. This program, also including Autumn Water by Cloud Gate founder Lin Hwai-min, was collectively titled Exchange and toured ten cities in Taiwan and mainland China.
